He was kicking himself in the head now, seeing as he had to attend a meeting later in the day and din't have time for a nap - still, it was worth it to him. The project was finished and he now felt as though eh would be able to present it to the important investors that he was trying to sell his product to at said meeting. Though, now was the time for someone muc more important (in his mind, at least) - coffee. Oh yes, that delicious beverage that jolted you awake for a few hours before causing you to crash completely into a deep sleep. However, Aengus decided that today he was going to be drinking nothing but coffee, seeing as he needed to stay awake all day, not just for a couple of hours. He knew it'd be tough, but it wasn't unlike anything he had managed to pull through before. As he drove towards the coffee emporium, he somewhat questioned the safety of himself and those around him while he was behind the wheel. He could barely walk properly, let alone drive, but he had made it to his destination and was more that anxious to get his hands on a coffee. Sure, he probably could have made one at home, but he was far too tired to even think of doing such a thing. The young Scottish lad decided that pulling out a five dollar bill from his wallet was much easier than going through the necessary steps to brew coffee in the morning. Walking up to the counter, he looked at the board before finally just stating that he wanted a black coffee with some space to put some cream and sugar. The small talk he created between himself and the barista was classic to Aengus' personality; always friendly, even when he could hardly put a sentence together. When the barista handed him a coffee, he thanked her, winked at her and placed the change in her hand, telling her not to spend it all in one place. With coffee in hand, he strutted over to a table, by one of the many windows in the shop, and took a seat, ready to enjoy his coffee in peace before getting anxious about his presentation. Lifting the coffee to his lips, he took a few gulps before setting it back down, playing with the cup warmer as he tried to keep himself awake until the caffeine started to kick in. 442 WORDS , OPEN , TOO LAZY , MY FIRST POST ON THIS SITE! |
