[atrb=width,240] The day had gone on way slower than the young woman had been expecting. Having woken up early to get to work to make people their morning coffee just seemed to get a tad bit tedious after the third hour, especially after being bitched at just simply because the people were cranky in the morning. Her way of thinking? If they got to be cranky in the morning, than so did she. Did they honestly expect her to put on a fake smile and take their bullshit at six in the morning? No. And, if some poor, pathetic fool actually did expect her to do such a thing, than they were poorly mistaken. If anyone knew Josie Sandvik, than they knew to stay off her bad side, especially at six in the morning. After having some guy tell her to get an attitude check, she promptly responded with a witty comeback featuring the words 'spit in your coffee'. That was when the guy called for a manager to come out and deal with the situation; luckily for her, the manager of the coffee shop was far too much of a pussy to fire the young, feisty woman and, after a very insincere apology on Josie's part, she was able to move on with her day. Three hours later, she felt as though she had hit a brick wall and, now that the rush had died down, she was able to let her head rest against the counter. For every customer that walked up to her, she simply asked them what they wanted, let them pay and made the barista at the actual bar make the drinks. Honestly, today was in no way a day where Josie was willing to do any extra work. That wasn't to say that she was like this all of the time, just mostly when she was working mornings. Rest of the time, she was ready and willing to do anything and everything that was asked of her. She worked hard to make it in this world and survive, there was no way she was backing out now without a fight. Groaning, she lifted her head, but not for a customer, just to grab a paper cup and fill it with coffee before adding some cream and sugar. Basically gulping it back, she let out a heavy sigh and shook her head - that shit never did anything for her anymore, since she had been working at the same coffee shop for some time now. Soon enough, she found her forehead back on the counter, her eyes closing as she intended to have a mini nap before someone else showed up. | [atrb=width,100] words , 446 words tagged , open! notes , definitely not my best at all, but i left it open for anyone to join! |
